It was ok. The Ol' Blues are at it again. Armed with walkers and canes and a bit of high-tech to bring down the bad guy and save the day! As the book tagline states "The geezers have gone rogue." This was a very typical cops and robbers story with the senior citizens as a twist. The characters are very cliche however I feel that the author may have done this on purpose to give the reader the feeling of an old friend coming into play in the story. I don't really care for the author's writing style. it may have been the premise of the book as cops and robbers is not really my thing but I also really think that it's because she was indeed a police officer himself. And while I believe that anyone can write a book, I also know that it does take a particular amount of talent to write an interesting book. This one was definitely not fireworks but more of a light drizzle. The premise of the story does have great potential however. And if this were to become a series I feel that if the author were to work a little bit on his writing style and improving his skills that this would become a hit series! I did also find the book very funny. The anecdotes that were put in while not written in the best way come across as they are supposed to and are very humorous. I do praise the author for that. It is difficult for me to laugh at a book and I did at this one. So bravo Chris! 👏🏻 With all things in mind this book was an okay read so I am giving it an okay review. There is definitely room for improvement here. But that just means the book has more potential as does any sequels that may be in mind.
